MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Jan. 30, 2018 - Today, we are pleased to announce that Unimin Corporation will continue its partnership with Ducks Unlimited and has renewed their commitment with a donation of $1 million over the next five years. This gift supports DU conservation initiatives that will help conserve 500,000 acres of habitat across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

"We are incredibly thankful for Unimin Corporation's continued generosity and support. This support helps safeguard wetlands and waterfowl for years to come across the continent," said Ducks Unlimited CEO Dale Hall. "We will continue to work with Unimin to provide abundant, clean water resources, along with increasing biodiversity and sustainability on key landscapes, including providing habitat for pollinators, waterfowl and other wildlife where Unimin employees, contractors and customers live and work."

In 2012, DU launched the Rescue Our Wetlands campaign with 16 initiatives that regionalize our landscape conservation efforts. Unimin's gift will support these Ducks Unlimited conservation initiatives that encompass 20 Unimin Corporation facilities across the continent:

Big Rivers, covering the upper Mississippi River basin.

Living Lakes, emphasizing the shallow lakes of Minnesota and Iowa.

America's River and Gulf Coast, encompassing the lower Mississippi Alluvial Valley and Gulf Coast.

Completing the Cycle, focused on key wetlands from West Virginia to Maine.

Southeast Wetlands, encompassing the southeast quadrant of the US with a strong focus on protecting private lands from high-density development.

Southern Prairies and Playas, focused on protecting playa lakes and prairies in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

DU and Unimin Corporation first partnered in 2013 on wetlands conservation in Minnesota. Today's gift expands that partnership across the continent.

"Unimin is excited about extending our partnership with Ducks Unlimited for another five years," said Unimin Corporation CEO Campbell Jones. "We recognize the responsibility and privilege we have been given in the land and resources under our control and our partnership with Ducks Unlimited helps us further deliver tangible results on the landscape and in the communities we serve. We applaud the efforts of Ducks Unlimited who has conserved more than 14 million acres of waterfowl habitat across North America."
