The financial support from our members, donors, partners and government grants enables us to lead the world in conserving wetlands and waterfowl habitat.
Ducks Unlimited protects and restores wetlands vital for waterfowl across North America. These efforts are costly. By leveraging memberships, donations and corporate support, Ducks Unlimited secures state and federal grants to tackle ambitious conservation projects. Through strategic fundraising, we provide a sustainable future for waterfowl and countless other species.
Fundraising events are the foundation for our success. Ducks Unlimited volunteers and staff each year hold more than 4,000 fundraising events nationwide. Have a great time while helping us fill the sky with waterfowl. Join the flock, fund the mission.
Our Major Sponsors are leading the charge to secure our continent's wetland and waterfowl habitat. Major Sponsors are conservation champions, leading by example and inspiring members across the country.
Thousands of local companies and hundreds of national corporations and foundations work with Ducks Unlimited to deliver financial support to our mission. We leverage contributions for additional funds from other sources and convert contributions to conservation.
Taxpayers get more bang for their buck, as publicly funded grants funds are used to leverage an even greater investment from the private sector. This enables Ducks Unlimited to make landscape-level impacts to millions of acres of wetlands in all 50 states.
Added together, our fundraising efforts support a historic campaign to improve wetlands across North America. You can help make a difference!
In Fiscal Year 2023, 84% of Ducks Unlimited’s expenditures were converted directly to conservation work vital to ducks, geese and other wetland-dependent wildlife. We are responsible with every dollar gifted and granted to us. Outside auditors ensure our money is mission focused. Ducks Unlimited also meets all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability through the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance. The alliance grades our operations for governance and oversight, organizational effectiveness, financials, and fundraising and informational materials. Ducks Unlimited has also received the "Top-Rated Charity" designation from the American Institute of Philanthropy . Our A- rating means that we spend 75% or more of our budget on programs, spend $25 or less to raise $100 in public support, do not hold excessive assets in reserve and disclose basic financial information and documents to the institute and our donors.
