MEMPHIS, Tenn. June 12, 2018 Ducks Unlimited TV launches its 22nd season on June 26. Viewers can watch new episodes every week on the Pursuit Channel and the Ducks Unlimited website.
DU TV welcomes two new hosts to its team this season. Doug Larsen and Cara Harper join returning hosts Field Hudnall and Ashley Ward as they pursue waterfowling adventures across North America and meet people who are passionate about hunting and conservation. Viewers also get hunting tips and information from the pros: shooting with Phil Bourjaily, retriever training with Mike Stewart, and conservation with Dale Hall.
Ducks Unlimited magazine readers will recognize Doug Larsens name. He is a regular contributor to the magazine and writes the Last Call column in every issue. He has been an avid duck hunter since childhood, and he has hunted waterfowl in more than a dozen countries.
Im humbled to be joining the other hosts of DUTV, said Larsen. I have such admiration for DU and the vital preservation work they do. DU has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, and when I was a kid I often dreamt of working with Ducks Unlimited. Years later it is astounding to me to have had that dream come true. I look forward to sharing hunting and habitat insights with DU TVs viewers.
Cara Harpers passion for the outdoors began at a young age while living in a cabin on the White River in Arkansas, where her family operated a duck hunting lodge and guide service. She started duck hunting with her father at the age of six and has been hooked ever since.
I am thrilled to begin the journey as a co-host for Ducks Unlimited TV, said Harper. Supporting wetland and waterfowl conservation is something I hold close to my heart. I aim to encourage more women and youth to get involved and experience the unique camaraderie that is shared in a duck blind among friends and family, as well as their retrievers. I believe it is essential to involve children at an early age to educate them about wildlife, firearm safety and conservation, which will ultimately shape and mold them into future leaders in waterfowl conservation.
Catch DU TV on the Pursuit Channel Mondays at 1:30 am, Tuesdays at 8:30 am, Wednesdays at 8:00 pm, and Saturdays at 8:30 pm. All episodes and bonus content are also available on the DU website at www.ducks.org/dutv.
