The last episode of the 2018 season includes breathtaking footage of waterfowl hunts from across the country. Viewers will tag along with DU TV Co-host Doug Larsen and crew on a goose hunt in Alberta, Canada.
I wish everybody who values duck and goose hunting could have been in that spread this morning, Larsen said. It was not only a great hunting experience, it was truly one of the greatest shows I can ever remember seeing.
Youll also see memorable moments from a lighthearted hunt with DU Volunteer Tony Palermo, a passionate DU volunteer and firearms collector.
Head to Arkansas to learn about a friendly rivalry, in and out of the duck blind, between DU Varsity Chapter Volunteers Wyatt Berry and Owen Tyrone, from rival Memphis chapters.
And well take you back to Louisiana to visit with master decoy carver Cal Kingsmill in his shop and on his favorite hunting grounds.
Cal carves decoys he wants people to use, Hudnall said. Yes, you can put it on the shelf and admire it, but he wants you to take it out, put it in the water and shoot ducks over it. He spends countless hours carving decoys that sell at auction at DU events. That money goes back into wetlands just like the ones we have been hunting.
Also on this weeks best of episode, DU CEO Dale Hall talks about the history and mission of Ducks Unlimited and retriever trainer Mike Stewart explains how you can help your duck dog recover lost birds.
DU TV airs Mondays at 1:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. (all times Eastern) on the Pursuit Channel. All episodes, plus bonus content and classic episodes, can be found at www.ducks.org/dutv.
