Ducks Unlimited's Great Lakes/Atlantic Regional Office received word this week that its Indiana application for a DU license plate has been accepted. While the application acceptance will allow for DU license plates to be sold, 500 plates must first be preordered to start production.

DU has worked with state officials across the country to create specialized DU license plates, an effort to raise dollars for key conservation projects within each state. In Indiana, $25 from each plate and renewal will go towards conserving Indiana waterfowl habitat.

"The funds raised through the sale of license plates will help DU conserve more of Indiana's valuable wetlands," Gildo Tori, DU's director of public policy for GLARO, said.

"License plate sales are just one of the ways that DU raises funds for key wetland protection and restoration projects across the country."

DU encourages its Indiana members to contact DU Regional Director Dave Neal by phone (260.755.0764) or via email (dneal@ducks.org) for more information about how to purchase a DU license plate.
