Another successful fundraising year for Ducks Unlimited in 201819 made the selection of the Regional Director and Director of Development of the Year a real challenge. After much deliberation, Director of Development Matt Bunn and Regional Director Dillon Schroeder were honored for their fundraising efforts for Ducks Unlimited.
Matt secured over $2 million in Major Sponsor commitments and cash among donors in southeast Texas during fiscal year 2019 (FY19). This continued his incredible streak of bringing in more than $1 million per year since becoming a director of development.
It is an honor to work with the great supporters of Ducks Unlimited and achieve their wishes for healthy waterfowl populations and wetland habitat, Matt says.
Dillon serves as regional director for eastern Oklahoma and northeast Texas. He works with DU volunteer committees in this region to host fundraising events, which raised more than $665,000 for DUs conservation mission in FY19. This represented a 56 percent increase in fundraising totals from the prior year. During the same time frame, event attendance in the region increased by 34 percent and volunteer numbers grew by 14 percent.
I am proud of the hard work and dedication Dillon and Matt have put into their respective positions within the organization, says DU Chief Fundraising Officer Amy Batson. Their ability to work with DUs phenomenal team of volunteers and donors has created an unstoppable force that continually strives for excellence. It is a privilege to recognize both these individuals for their recent accomplishments, and I am fortunate to work with them and our entire fundraising team.
