MEMPHIS, Tenn. May 29, 2020 Chuck Smith, of Memphis, Tenn., was recently elected first vice president of Ducks Unlimited (DU), the nations largest nonprofit waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization.

Chuck Smiths dedication to Ducks Unlimited and its wetlands conservation mission is exemplary, said newly elected DU Board Chairman Rogers Hoyt. His service on the DU Board, the Wetlands America Trust Board and to the organization has been outstanding. I look forward to working with Chuck for many years to come.

As first vice president, Smith will advise and represent DUs new president, Doug Schoenrock. He will work directly for Schoenrock on special assignments and represent the president at functions Schoenrock is unable to attend.

Im truly honored and grateful to serve as Ducks Unlimiteds first vice president, Smith said. This organization has meant a lot to me and my family. Im proud to be a part of it and relish the opportunity to lead at this level. Thanks to the volunteers and staff of DU and Im eager to work for all of them again in my new role.

Smith is the chairman of National Guard Products, one of the nations largest architectural door hardware manufacturers. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Smith is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He has held several positions in Ducks Unlimited, including state chairman, at-large director and for the past few years has served as secretary of Ducks Unlimiteds Board of Directors. He played a key role in bringing DUs headquarters to Memphis.
