2020 Ducks in the Desert Shoot wraps up in Vegas
March 27, 2020 Ducks Unlimiteds Ducks in the Desert Continental Shoot sporting clays competition took place March 4-8 in Las Vegas, crowning Raymond Brown of California as the High Overall (HOA) champion with a score of 188/200.
Held at the world-class Clark County Shooting Complex in North Las Vegas, the competition, now in its 34th year, hosted 337 clay shooters from around North America in the name of supporting wetlands conservation. Brown finished the competition tied with Bobby Fowler of Texas with 188 points in the Main Event, forcing a shootout in which Brown emerged victorious.
This was a phenomenal weekend, from the weather to the way people have enjoyed themselves, said Jim Konkel, chair of DUs National Shooting Committee. We thank our competitors and supporters for coming out and supporting us. Wed also like to thank our sponsors who continue to make this a premiere shooting competition. This was one of the best years weve had.
Created in 1986, the Ducks in the Desert Shoot featured title sponsors Browning Arms, Fiocchi Ammunition and The Plaza Hotel.
The 2021 Ducks in the Desert Las Vegas Continental Shoot will take place March 3-7, 2021 in Las Vegas. For additional information, visit https://www.ducks.org/ducks-unlimited-events/continental-shoots or email shoot@ducks.org.
Well once again be here at the Clark County Shooting complex in beautiful sunny Las Vegas and were looking forward to a record turnout in 2021 for our 35th Anniversary, added Konkel. Were going to shake some things up and start a few new things. We hope you come out.
