Ducks Unlimited University chapters focus on raising funds to support the development, restoration, and conservation of waterfowl habitats across North America. By joining, students gain a deeper understanding of our natural landscapes and the invaluable benefits they provide. Alongside conservation efforts, members develop life skills such as leadership, networking, and teamwork that will serve them well in future career pursuits. Regardless of their major or interests, every student can find value in being part of a Ducks Unlimited University chapter.
Third Term is Ducks Unlimited’s annual collegiate leadership summit, held each summer in Memphis. It’s a weekend packed with conservation education, leadership training, and networking opportunities, allowing students to connect with fellow volunteers from across the country and gain insights into Ducks Unlimited’s operations and conservation mission.
Attendees hear from influential speakers, such as DU President Bob Spoerl and Cody Stokes, founder of Dive Bomb Industries, who share their journeys in conservation and the outdoor industry. The weekend features breakout sessions to help chapters improve their leadership skills, culminating in an awards banquet where chapters are recognized for their dedication and accomplishments.

Today, Ducks University chapters are playing an increasingly important role in Ducks Unlimited's conservation mission. DU recognizes that a vibrant and strong collegiate program is the key to a healthy future for wetlands conservation, and a strong emphasis will continue to be placed on the development of what has been a very successful program.
