There are many ways to support Ducks Unlimited, each expressive of the donor's particular interests and each with distinct tax advantages. Outright gifts provide immediate, current support of DU. Deferred gifts can include bequest provisions, retirement account designations and life insurance. A variety of tangible assets may also be appropriate for charitable gift purposes.
The tax benefits of making a charitable gift can be substantial. Careful tax planning and structuring can actually decrease one's cost while increasing support for DU. Members of DU's Development staff are available to work with donors and their advisers to achieve these mutual goals. Maximize your charitable deduction and provide funds for conservation immediately. Personal checks and all credit cards accepted. Cash contributions may be made as lump sums or as annual payments. Recommend a gift to Ducks Unlimited through your donor advised fund.
You choose the amount that fits your budget, sign up online, and we do the rest. Monthly giving eliminates many overhead costs and allows us to direct more to habitat initiatives.

Over 500 companies and corporate foundations currently match their employees' gifts to Ducks Unlimited. Under a corporate matching gift program, gifts made by a company's eligible employees to the nonprofit organizations that meet the company's guidelines are matched with company or corporate foundation funds. If you are affiliated with a company that matches contributions to conservation, you may be eligible to have your gift to Ducks Unlimited doubled or tripled. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to DU may be go further than you imagined!
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can make a charitable gift to DU through your annual required minimum distribution. Please contact the Development Office for specific instructions.
This program is designed for Major Sponsors who wish to contribute certain gifts of original artwork, collectibles, fine guns, or other personal property. Please contact the Development staff at 901.758.3986 for further information about making a gift of property.

Gifts of marketable securities, or stock listed on an exchange, can be an advantageous way to make a substantial gift to support the conservation mission of Ducks Unlimited.
In most cases, these gifts avoid capital gains taxes and are deductible for income tax purposes based on the fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift.
Gifts of closely held stock may also be accepted. Such gifts should be discussed with a member of the development staff prior to making the gift.
