Among the 130 people attending this inaugural DUMAC fundraiser
Ducks Unlimited de Mexico (DUMAC) held its first-ever fundraiser last February. The event was hosted in conjunction with the DUMAC and Ducks Unlimited Inc. board meetings in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Among the 130 people attending this inaugural DUMAC fundraiser were DU President John Newman, DUMAC President John Tomke, and DU Canada President Tom Worden. These DU leaders sold tickets for a special Presidents' Raffle, which featured a Fausti Boutique side-by-side, Fausti Silver over/under, and Ruger Vaquero pistol. The raffle, which generated more than $10,000, was followed by a live auction that raised more than $40,000 for DU conservation programs in Mexico. This landmark fundraising event sets a great precedent for the future of DUMAC.
