Memphis, Tenn. September 6, 2017 Tom Munich was named Ducks Unlimiteds (DU) Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member of Region 3, an area that encompasses Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Tom has had a wonderful career with DU for more than 22 years. He has achieved his fundraising goals for seven years straight, said Bret Plasters, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. This is almost unheard of, to have this kind of success over a seven year span. It is a tribute to Toms dedication, focus and relationship with his volunteers. Tom would give all the accolades for his success to his volunteers, thats just the kind of guy he is.

Munich, a resident of Oconomowoc, Wis., covers southeast Wisconsin and works with volunteer committees in this area hosting fundraisers for the 80-year-old conservation organization. Munich also received Sustained Growth Award, Grand Slam Award, $100,000 Growth Club and was inducted into the Million Dollar Club an award given to event fundraising staff who raise $1 million or more.

DU is the leader in wetlands conservation and volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. Through 4,000 local fund-raising events DU volunteers generate more than 500,000 memberships and more than $53 million annually.
