Shell Oil Company recently donated $250,000 to Ducks Unlimited's Northwest Pennsylvania Priority Habitat Restoration Program. As part of this program, DU will work to restore important waterfowl habitat on Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Crawford County.
The Northwest Pennsylvania Priority Habitat Restoration Program is currently focused on protecting and restoring wetland and upland habitats on four publicly owned areas in northwest Pennsylvania, including Presque Isle State Park, Erie Bluffs State Park, Roderick Wildlife Reserve, and Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area, as well as one privately owned property with public access, Little Elk Creek Forest. With help from Shell and other partners, DU will continue to expand this program to include additional habitat for migrating waterfowl in northwest Pennsylvania.
