Annual Delaware Greenwing Conservation Festival a success
Nearly 400 kids participated in the annual Delaware Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Conservation Festival in Greenwood on April 13. Participants built wood duck boxes, practiced fly fishing, watched duck banding demonstrations and much more.
Activities included archery, target shooting, fishing demonstrations, retriever demonstrations, wildlife identifcation, duck banding, decoy carving, a youth calling contest, wood duck box building and more.
Presenting organizations included Ducks Unlimited, 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Owen's Station Sporting Clays, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Delaware State Police, local carvers, local kennels and local sporting goods stores.
