Third Term Class of 2024 at DU National Headquarters in Memphis.

The eleventh annual collegiate leadership summit, Third Term, presented by Dive Bomb Industries, took place from August 2-4, 2024, in Memphis. Over 300 college volunteers from 80 chapters, including one from Canada, attended the event. The weekend was filled with conservation education, breakout sessions, leadership training, and networking opportunities. We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Dive Bomb Industries, Pete and Marilyn Coors, the RK Mellon Foundation, Winnebago Industries, John Marsellus, ALPS OutdoorZ, and Bowman Delta Farm.

Third Term allowed students to connect with fellow volunteers from across the country while learning about DU's operations and conservation mission from a national perspective.

On Friday afternoon, DU President Bob Spoerl addressed the attendees, highlighting DU's various volunteer and staff opportunities. The Friday business session concluded with a keynote speech by Cody Stokes, founder of Dive Bomb Industries, who shared his journey in the outdoor industry. Following the session, attendees toured the national headquarters and met with senior staff.

Saturday's activities included breakout sessions to enhance leadership skills and improve chapter performance. The summit concluded with the Saturday night awards banquet, presented by Pete and Marylin Coors. The evening celebrated the college volunteers and their chapters, recognizing their dedication and passion for DU's mission. The Third Term awards, which complement the All-American awards for the top collegiate fundraising chapters nationwide, were a highlight of the event, with many chapters receiving applause and cheers from their peers.
