Ducks Unlimited welcomes Kurt Anderson to conservation staff
Sept. 4, 2015 - Ducks Unlimited welcomes Kurt Anderson to its team as director of development for New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Anderson is responsible for engaging donors in Ducks Unlimited's conservation mission through the $2 billion Rescue Our Wetlands campaign and the Completing the Cycle and Great Lakes Initiatives.
Anderson worked the same region for nearly six years as a regional biologist with Ducks Unlimited. He most recently was associate director with the Downeast Salmon Federation and was a land project coordinator with Maine Farmland Trust and a development officer with Unity College.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University and a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Delaware. His graduate work focused on black duck migration.
"Kurt has a passion for conservation, outdoor recreation and all things sporting. He has a history of successful fundraising and is uniquely well suited to connect donors to conservation efforts and the Ducks Unlimited mission," said Todd Bishop, managing director of development for DU's Great Lakes/Atlantic Region.
Anderson, his wife Johanna, and two daughters reside in Orono, Maine, and will be relocating to Upstate New York. Contact Anderson at kanderson@ducks.org or (207) 889-7016.
