Ducks Unlimited Recognizes Top Youth Fundraising Chapters

This year DU crowned a new collegiate national champion—the State College Chapter in Raleigh, North Carolina. Area co-chairs Mason Leonard and William Chadwick, along with their committee, hosted multiple events, raising over $275,000 for wetlands conservation. The chapter’s consistent attendance at Third Term, DU’s annual collegiate leadership summit, along with their ability to build sustainable relationships with sponsors and donors in the community, helped elevate them to the number one spot.

DU also crowned a new high school national champion—the Jackson Academy chapter in Jackson, Mississippi. Led by Newell Eatherly, this group of young volunteers raised over $55,000 for DU’s conservation mission. Community and family support contributed to their success.

Louisiana DU’s Jackie Bartels Kids Conservation Fest claimed the title of top Greenwing event in the nation. Led by Nick Lichenstein and Lance Trotti, committee members used local contacts to secure sponsorships and underwriting, particularly from Sportsman’s Warehouse. The chapter raised over $36,000 and processed 967 Greenwing memberships during the event, which attracted 1,000 attendees.
