Sept. 18, 2015 - Adam DeHaan was named Ducks Unlimited's 2014-15 Director of Development of the Year for his outstanding efforts as senior director of development for Iowa and Minnesota.

DeHaan works with individuals, foundations and businesses in Iowa and Minnesota to provide major sponsor support opportunities for Ducks Unlimited. He also manages the volunteer major gift committees in both states.

"It takes a lot of colleagues and volunteers to make this award possible," DeHaan said. "It is satisfying and an inspiration working with like-minded conservationists to keep biodiversity on the landscape."

DeHaan's efforts generate support for DU's $2 billion Rescue Our Wetlands Campaign through Ducks Unlimited's Big Rivers, Living Lakes, and Preserve Our Prairies Initiatives.

"Adam is a great leader on our team," said Todd Bishop, managing director of development for DU's Great Lakes/Atlantic Region. "He hits or exceeds his goals every year by being creative and disciplined but it's his passion for waterfowl and wetlands that truly drives his success."

DeHaan and his family reside in Lakeville, Minn.
