WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 21, 2024 – Ducks Unlimited (DU) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate passed legislation to provide economic assistance to farmers, ranchers and other producers.

"We’re pleased Congress came together to provide economic assistance for farmers, ranchers and other agricultural producers at a time when they desperately need it," said DU CEO Adam Putnam. "While this will provide short-term relief for those who feed and supply our nation, we hope Congress will pass a bipartisan Farm Bill next year with the Inflation Reduction Act conservation funding. This funding will provide long-term stability for producers while supporting the voluntary, incentive-based conservation practices that enable landowners to conserve important habitat and maximize their operation. We will continue working with Congress toward that goal."
