Purpose: To acquire and protect 880 acres of wetland and upland habitats along the Roanoke River. The purpose of this project was to add additional acreage to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission Game Lands Program. The acquisition of forested wetlands provides critical habitat for migrating and wintering waterfowl along the Roanoke River. This project provides hunting opportunities and is managed by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

Location: The project is located near the Roanoke River and Conoho Creek in Martin County approximately 7 miles northeast of Robersonville, NC.
