Ducks Unlimited and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries are partnering to improve a 1,900-acre green-tree reservoir on the Russell Sage Wildlife Management Area (WMA) near Monroe, Louisiana.

As part of this project, DU will install a pump and underground pipes to manage water in this area year-round. These new water-management capabilities will improve habitat for waterfowl and other migratory birds, and protect the unit's timber. Russell Sage WMA provides excellent public hunting opportunities. This project is scheduled to be completed this fall.
