Minnesota Resources

Minnesota's Ducks

The Prairie Pothole Region, DU's No. 1 conservation focus area, is critical to Minnesota waterfowl hunters.

Historically, more than half of the ducks we harvest originate from the Canadian prairie. Western Minnesota, also part of the Prairie Pothole Region, is crucial to waterfowl production, and where DU focuses most of its Living Lakes Initiative conservation delivery.

Minnesota benefits from DU's Great Lakes and Upper Mississippi River conservation work as the organization continues to conserve waterfowl habitat in our state.

No waterfowl conservation organization represents the needs of Minnesota waterfowl hunters like DU. Our work supports habitat on Canadian breeding grounds and here at home.

With your help, we will preserve our waterfowl hunting heritage through habitat conservation.
