Shoot what you like but realize that Black Cloud is just regular steel with some pellets that have shallow orbits (not at all like the artist rendition) and Heavy-Metal is regular steel with some smaller Hevi-Shot pellets.

Patterning results from a 12-gauge 3" Remington 870 Special Purpose with a 28" barrel and factory flush Rem-chokes (pattern average of five, 30" post-shot scribed circle, yardage taped muzzle to target, in-shell pellet count average of five, and true choke constriction from bore gauge).

40 YARDS Mod. (.018" const.)
Federal Black Cloud  3"  1 1/4 oz #2 steel (144 pellets) / pattern 92 (64%)
Hevi-Metal                 3"   1 1/4 oz #2 & #5 (164 pellets) / pattern 93 (58%)

The BC load averaged 91 regular round pellets and 53 steel pellets with shallow orbits, total of 144 pellets.
The H-M load aveaged 101 regular round steel pellets and 63 smaller Hevi-shot pellets, total of 164 pellets.

As a comparison, here is a Rem. Sportsman load shot through the same gun and choke.

Remington Sportsman Hi-Speed  3"  1 1/4 oz #2 steel (152 pellets) / pattern 110 (72%)

Ok, now you can be the judge.

Good luck.
