i worked down in south jersey back in the early 80's.  we used to go over to the salt marsh and hunt.  it was my first experience with the tides.  it was fun and we shot some birds.  mostly black ducks if i remember correctly.

Don't know anything about that far south, but if you go across the bay-bridge tunnel and up the eastern shore about 40 minutes I can point you in the direction of some spots.  Not great, but we ususally kill some ducks, geese & brant.  Do you have a boat?  Only places I know require a boat.

I was stationed out of Norfolk for 4 years.  If you don't mind sliding down into North Carolina good duck hunting is easier to find.

A bad day in the blind beats a good day at work.

I hunt the Rappahanock River, Piankatank River, Mattaponi River, and the Chesapeake Bay. Mostly we hunt off a private island in the Rappahanock out of blinds. Everything else is float hunting in small coves, marshes, or out sea duck hunting. This year I have seen teal, woodies, mallards, and few local geese. Looks like a good year....But you should be able to find some where to hunt along the intercostal's little cuts. But if not...let me know...my buddies and I will take a USMC waterfowler out for a trip...
