Any first hand reviews on youth 20g shotguns? My 8yo went duck hunting with me the first time and she loves it. She woke me up at midnight and 4am to go the second morning. She wants to try to shoot them now.

On a side note....I hate that duck dynasty had overpopulated the water this year, but after watching the show several time my little girl just had to try it. I have to give them a little credit for that. My god the ducks are flying so high this year already though.

We got my son a Youth Rem 870 20 ga a few years ago.  It works great.  He has now moved on to a 12 ga, but was a crack shot with the 20.

My daughter got the Rem 870 Youth also and she loved it. I now use it for road hunting pheasants as it's short and easy to get in and out of the cab. It's also a great gun when we go daytime calling raccoons. I'm almost 6' and I shoot it a lot. You name it: pigeons, doves, small tree animals, rabbits, woodchucks, etc. So even though she has out grown it, I haven't!

I still have my Remington 870 youth.  26 inch but with a factory modified.  Perfect for rabbits, squirrel and quail.  But from what I have heard from friends is to get a full choke for it and it would be perfect for jumping ducks in close range flooded timber.

It'll shoot damn near as far and effectively ss a 12 just the way it is.
