Just went on my first PQC hunt (see title). Only ever cooked dove and duck. Any good recipes for these things? We had quite a day of them and the freezer is pretty full....

Breast your pheasants cut the meat into nugget sized pieces let them sit in a mixture of egg and milk for about 20 mins then make a mix of flour, salt, pepper in a bag. take the soaking peices throw them in the flour mixture and sake the bag till coated good then dunk them back into the milk and egg then put straight into the fryer, fry till there floating. Let them drain of oil and eat. Goes very good with some frys and a big glass of sweet ice tea.

Never tryed this with quail or chuckar, but we do the same thing with dove.

they are all easy to cook , mild flavored birds.  i use a mixture of a little brown suger olive oil and teriyaki sauce  marinade for ten to fifteen minutes only  and grill just dont overcook they dry out fast  you'll like them

I just had a few pheasant breasts this week. I just season mine with Tony Chacheres and throw them on the grill. I even used a couple of left over breasts to make a sandwhich with a piece of avacado the over day for lunch.
