Just wondering if anybody has a suggestion for a good double reed duck call. I would like to stay somewhere between the $75-$100 range. I am an average duck caller just looking for a good double reed. thanks

My two favorite double reeds are foiles timber rattler (129) and foiles straight suzy (35). I know both are not in your wanted price range but they are both great calls.

My favorite double reeds are the 1972 series Duck Commander calls for $65 and River Bottom Custom acrylic calls(you can go on the site, email him and have your call custom engraved/built/tuned. Very nice calls and they sound amazing) for $65, shipping included.

I really like my Lynch Mob Strangle Hold.  You can get the hunter's acrylic for $100 on their sight.  Its really got that rasp I want out of a double reed.  Also it will get real soft.  I also picked up a Mike McLemore double reed last year that I really like.

duck commander are all good calls i perfer the classic for raspier and quiter or the mule for loudness.  both are wood for loud you might want a zink ph-2. $120 but worth it

I'll second the motion on the Foiles Strait Suzy - I'm an average, still a lot to learn caller, but I have this call, a Buck Gardner Double Nasty, and a custom wood one I bought from someone on this site on my lanyard for ducks. The custom one really hits louder notes well, and gets great distance. The Gardner has a deeper, raspier tone to it, and I use it for middle-range calling. But my favorite is the Strait Suzy - it's got a nice tone to it, and hits the soft notes extremely well for me. It also feels like the most response of my calls.

I've been considering upping to a Zink PH-2 for a while, but blew my christmas money on new dekes, and need to get out to a cabelas or bass pro and blow the acrylics to see which I like best.

I have a Foiles straight suzy that I love.  It works great for long and close range.  I also have a wooden duck comander call that is great for working close birds.

I am a big fan of zink calls, try the ph-1, you might think the ph-2 is a little higher piched. Zink says the ph-2 is louder. (not so sure about this). but i do know the more u use them they do get broken in an sound very very nice. :)

Like swampman90 said the foiles straight suzy is great.  Its only $35 but sounds great.  The Hobo ICU2 is great but is about $135.  You can go to downndirtyoutdoors.com They have sveral double reeds from $80-$100.  Ive never heard one of their calls I didn't like.

Doesn't have them in stock yet, but Big Sean is building a duck call for this fall.  Should be available to the public in a few weeks.  I don't know if any of you have heard or tried his goose calls, but the duck call is equally as good.  Just throwin it out there...
